Today's nutritious recipe from Kinder Kitchen - banana and avocado mash for babies

Ripe avocado
Banana and avocado mash (+ 6 months)

Both my children loved this meal as babies. It is easy, nutritious and delicious all in one and the avocados add a creaminess to the meal which babies love.


1/2 a ripe banana
1/2 a ripe avocado
2 tablespoons breast/formula milk


  1. Peel the banana and remove the avocado flesh from it's skin
  2. Place the banana and avocado in a bowl with the milk and mash with a folk to a smooth consistency
Kinder Kitchen Suggestions:
You could add boiled water to the fruit if you preferred. This is also a great spread for bread.

Avocados contain many essential nutrients including fibre, potassium, Vitamin E, B-vitamins and folic acid
